Ramit Sethi is an American author, entrepreneur, and media personality born on June 30, 1982. He is known for his 2009 New York Times Best Seller, “I Will Teach You to Be Rich”.
Early Life and Education
Sethi grew up in a middle-class family in Fair Oaks, California. He attended Bella Vista High School. To pay for his college education, he created a system to apply for over 60 scholarships, which allowed him to attend Stanford University. He graduated from Stanford in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Science, Technology & Society, and in 2005 with a Master of Arts in Sociology.
Career
While at Stanford in 2004, Sethi started his website, iwillteachyoutoberich.com. He also co-founded PBworks, a commercial wiki website. His book, “I Will Teach You to Be Rich,” was first published in 2009 and an updated version was released in 2019. He also hosts the “I Will Teach You To Be Rich” podcast and the 2023 Netflix series “How to Get Rich”.
Personal Life
Sethi is married to Cassandra Campa. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
